GONZALES — City of Gonzales hosted its annual Holiday Lights celebration last Saturday evening at the Fairview Middle School gym.

The Dec. 3 event, originally set to take place on Fourth Street with a tree lighting outside the police station, was moved inside due to rain.

However, the weather didn’t dampen the fun, as children and their families played games, listened to music and took photos with Santa Claus.

Local festivities will continue this Saturday, Dec. 17, when the City of Gonzales hosts its annual Holiday Lights Parade, beginning at 6 p.m.

The parade will travel around town to spread some holiday cheer.

Participants can register online at teamsideline.com/gonzales through Dec. 15 to receive their vehicle participant ticket and travel route. Call 831-675-5000 for more information.
