GONZALES — Red, white and blue flags flew at the Gonzales Cemetery, where many in the community gathered Monday to honor the memory of those who fell in service to their country.

The May 27 ceremony was led by the Gonzales American Legion Post 81, with members of the Soledad High School NJROTC presenting the colors and the Gonzales Explorers honoring the fallen soldiers.

American flags were put up by members of Troop and Pack 370, and the names of local servicemen and women were also read aloud.
