GONZALES — Diana Nielsen, a 2015 graduate of Gonzales High School, will be starting a five-year residency program in child neurology at Children’s Hospital in Los Angeles.

Once she completes this, she will be a pediatric neurologist doctor. After high school, she attended UCLA and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in neuroscience and a minor in Spanish in 2019.

Next, she attended USC Keck School of Medicine and graduated this year.

She is the daughter of Susana and James Nielsen.

“Congratulations to Diana for her hard work and dedication,” said her family and friends.
