SALINAS VALLEY — Salinas Valley Fair is excited to be celebrating the 79th annual Salinas Valley Fair set for May 18-21 at the Salinas Valley Fairgrounds, 625 Division St., in King City.
New this year, multi-Platinum country pop singer Dylan Scott is scheduled to perform at the Salinas Valley Fair on Saturday, May 20.
“We are looking forward to providing a fresh, exciting entertainment piece to the Salinas Valley Fair,” said Lauren Hamilton, Salinas Valley Fair CEO. “The Fair has held concerts in the past, and we are thrilled to be offering a Dylan Scott concert at our Stampede Arena for the community this year.”
Scott has three No. 1 singles at radio: “My Girl,” “Nobody” and “New Truck.” Following his first career nomination for “Best New Country Artist” at the all-genre iHeartRadio Music Awards and a coveted spot among Country Radio Seminar’s New Faces of Country Music, his Platinum-certified “Nobody” earned him a 2021 CMT Music Award at the 2022 CMT Music Awards on CBS. The singer-songwriter has provided tour support for Garth Brooks, Luke Bryan, Chris Young and others, cementing him as an in-demand live act.
The Salinas Valley Fair Board said it is looking forward to Scott’s “high-energy and family-friendly performance” for attendees of this year’s Fair.
Activities and community fun at the 2023 Salinas Valley Fair are set to begin Thursday, May 18, at 11 a.m. and continue through Sunday, May 21, at 10:30 p.m.
In addition to Scott, the Salinas Valley Fair will provide four days of family-friendly entertainment across the fairgrounds, music on the Steinbeck Stage, as well as the Junior Livestock Auction — to be held Saturday, May 20, at 8 a.m.
Fair food favorites, adult beverages and dancing in the Long Branch Saloon are available daily.
Special days include: Kids’ Holaday (in memory of Nate Holaday) on Thursday, May 18, where all children 12 years of age and younger receive free admission; Senior Day on Friday, May 19, where all adults 60 years of age and older receive free admission; and Armed Forces Day on Saturday, May 20, which provides free admission to all military personnel, military contractors and military dependents with military ID.
Fair pre-sale tickets and carnival wristbands are available for purchase at the Salinas Valley Fair Office until Wednesday, May 17.
Hamilton and the Salinas Valley Fair Board invite everyone to make their way to King City for a “great Salinas Valley Fair themed ‘Barnyard May-Ham.’”
