GONZALES — After a summer of league play, the Wrecking Crew and the Bad News Beers were crowned as champions of the City of Gonzales Adult Co-Ed Softball League. The Wrecking Crew were champions of the “B” League and the Bad News Beers won the “C” league title.

At the league championship games the Wrecking Crew edged the G-Town Slugger 12-10 to win the “B” league title and finished the season with an 8-5 record. The Bad News Beers won the “C” league championship with a 13-9 victory over the City Ballers.

The Gonzales Adult Co-Ed League began play on June 14 after teams were seeded for the two divisions. The teams consisted of players 15-years-old and over and the each team was allowed a maximum of two 15-year-olds.
