Carolina (Bina) Uccelli, 83, of Salinas, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 18, 2017 surrounded by her family.  Carolina was born in Soledad to Stefanina and Emilio Battilocchi.  She was raised on the family ranch in San Lucas and graduated from King City High School in 1951. In 1954, she married Ernest Uccelli and moved to South San Francisco.  Carolina was employed by Dalgety Foods in Salinas for many years followed by 19 years as a traffic sales manager for C&W Foods, retiring in 1999.  She was a devoted wife and mother who loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren unconditionally.  When she wasn’t sitting in the sun with a good book, she loved baking for family and friends, and she loved her daily, 11 mile walks.

She is survived by her sister, Anita (Joe) Gamboni, of Dos Palos, daughters, Debbie Allred of King City and Annette (Deanna) Uccelli, of Salinas, sons, Richard (Gina) Uccelli and Jeff (Rex) Uccelli of Salinas; grandchildren, Athena (Marty) Maydon of King City, Jon and Jeremy Allred of King City, Dominic and Gino Uccelli of Salinas; great-grandchildren Arianna, Alexis, Angelina, Max and Marcus Maydon of King City; her sister-in-law, Joan Perez of Redwood City,  and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

Carolina was preceded in death by her husband, Ernie, her brother, Carlo, and her son-in-law, David Allred.

The family is forever grateful to family and friends for the loving care that Carolina received over the last 2 years  as well as Hospice of the Central Coast.

Visitation will take place on Wednesday, August 23, 2017 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Struve and Laporte Chapel, 41 W. San Luis Street, Salinas, CA 93901.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, August 24, 2017 at 1:30p.m. at Sacred Heart Church, 22 Stone Street, Salinas, CA. 93901, reception to follow.
