GREENFIELD — Greenfield High School 2005 graduate Fachon Clair was enshrined in the school’s Athletics Hall of Fame for his accomplishments as a football player and track and field athlete.

Clair was announced as the 2026 entry into the Hall of Fame on Sept. 25 before the kickoff of the football game between the host Bruins and the visiting Gonzales Spartans. Clair had one of his most memorable football games ever in his senior year against the Spartans.
In this one special game, Clair scored five touchdowns, including one each on defense, special teams and receiving as well as two out of the backfield. Two of the touchdowns came on successive plays, the final two plays of the first half.
Clair ran for 263 rushing yards in his junior year of football but earned a spot on the Cal-Hi Sports All-State Football team as he ran for 1,203 yards and 19 touchdowns as a senior.
According to Greenfield High Athletic Director John Radcliff, what makes a Hall of Famer is what they do with the opportunities they’re given, and what they leave behind.
“He wasn’t just a football player, as he was also part of our history-making boy’s track and field championship team,” Radcliff said. “He still holds Greenfield High School records in the 100 meters, 200 meters and 4×100 relay, and he is second all-time in the long jump.”
Clair played football at West Valley College after graduating from Greenfield and then answered another call to service by enlisting in the U.S. Army. Clair works for Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) in Oahu, Hawaii, and attained his accounting degree from Hawaii Pacific University.
“I found out beginning in August that I had been chosen to the Hall of Fame,” Clair said. “I have been thinking of moving back to California but not until my youngest, who is 12, graduates high school. It is a blessing and an honor for me.”
