SOLEDAD — A 41-year-old Soledad man was arrested Thursday after police said he admitted to recording female students from Soledad High School for his sexual gratification.
According to the Soledad Police Department, officers were dispatched at about 4:13 p.m. on Sept. 10 to a report of an adult male following a female juvenile and recording her. Officers were given a description of the suspect vehicle, a white 2024 Toyota SUV with California license plate 9SHE944.
Officers located the vehicle in the 600 block of Front Street and contacted the sole occupant, identified as Justin Leblanc, 41, of Soledad.
During the investigation, Leblanc admitted to recording female students from Soledad High School, police said. Additional evidence indicated that he had “recorded several students over the course of several weeks for his sexual gratification,” according to police.
Leblanc was arrested and transported to the Monterey County Jail.
After determining that Soledad High School students had been followed and recorded for unlawful purposes, police notified the superintendent of the Soledad Unified School District.
