WINERY DESIGNATED

SOLEDAD — CRU Winery announced that its tasting room has been designated a Blue Zones Project Participating Organization for actively implementing lifestyle changes and environmental modifications to promote longevity and overall well-being. The winery will celebrate this recognition with an event at its Santa Lucia Highlands Tasting Room, 37500 Foothill Road, in Soledad on Saturday, Feb. 22, from 1 to 4 p.m. Blue Zones Project Monterey County will be in attendance, along with Pancho’s Craft Pizza, music duo Songbird Meadow and other local businesses. MEMORY CAFÉ

SALINAS — Alliance on Aging (AOA) has announced the grand opening of the AOA Memory Café @ The HUB, a new community space designed to support individuals experiencing memory loss and their caregivers. The event will take place on Tuesday, Feb. 25, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at 236 Monterey St., in Salinas. The AOA Memory Café @ The HUB will provide a warm and welcoming environment where individuals affected by memory loss can connect with others who understand their journey. This social gathering aims to foster meaningful connections, offer resources and encourage participation in engaging activities. Attendees will have the opportunity to: meet new friends, share experiences and receive support; enjoy complimentary healthy food and beverages; participate in enriching activities, including chair yoga, healthy cooking demonstrations, art, music, games and more; access valuable education on dementia-related topics through expert speakers and informational brochures. CLASS REUNION

GONZALES — On Saturday, Sept. 6, the Gonzales High School Classes of 1972-78 will gather for a multi-class joint reunion at the Elks Lodge, 614 Airport Blvd., in Salinas. Information can be obtained via a Facebook page, titled “GUHS 50th Class Reunion (1972-1978),” and a website — myevent.com/guhsreunion72-78 — where guests can register for the reunion and obtain info on payment options for attending.
