GREENFIELD — Greenfield’s annual coat drive is underway, seeking donations to benefit homeless individuals and others in need of warm clothing this winter.
Local resident Avelina Torres is spearheading the coat drive for the eighth year in a row, and has partnered with the Greenfield Police Department and LULAC members on this year’s collection project.
New and gently used coats of any size, as well as beanies and gloves, may be dropped off inside the containers at four locations:
- Greenfield Community Center at Patriot Park, 1351 Oak Ave.;
- Greenfield Civic Center, 599 El Camino Real;
- Greenfield Fire Department, corner of Oak Avenue and Fourth Street; and
- Greenfield Community Science Workshop, 45 El Camino Real.
Donations will be accepted until Dec. 20. For more details, call Torres at 831-682-8918.
