SALINAS VALLEY — Community members came together last Tuesday to celebrate National Night Out in the Salinas Valley.

In Greenfield, the evening was filled with food, games, resources and fun activities, hosted by the Greenfield Police Department at Village Green Park.

“Thank you, Greenfield, for coming together to make National Night Out event a success,” stated Greenfield Police on social media afterward. “We want to express our deepest gratitude to all our amazing community members who joined us to unite and celebrate together in the spirit of National Night Out. We also want to thank local and county organizations who joined us to offer resources to our community. Let’s continue to build a strong, united community together.”

Similar celebrations also took place in Soledad and Gonzales this year.

“Our National Night Out event was a tremendous success,” wrote Soledad Police Department in a Facebook post. “We want to extend a heartfelt thank you to all the amazing community members who participated in this fantastic event. From lively music and delicious food to captivating performances and engaging activities like Tug-of-War and face painting, the evening was truly memorable.”

The Aug. 6 event highlighted the strong bonds between neighbors and law enforcement, emphasizing the importance of unity and community collaboration.
