MONTEREY COUNTY — Due to current dry weather conditions and increased flammability of forest fuels and grasses, Fire Season has officially been declared in San Benito and Monterey counties as of 8 a.m. on June 17, according to Cal Fire, San Benito-Monterey Unit. Areas affected include all State Responsibility Area lands within both counties.

GONZALES — After three-and-a-half years, the City of Gonzales has decided that it is in its best interest to gradually end all hotspot devices that the City provided to community members through the T-Mobile Universal Internet Pilot Project.
