GONZALES — A small aircraft made an emergency landing north of Gonzales on Sunday, reported the Monterey County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies from the Sheriff’s Office, along with fire crews, responded to the plane, which had safely landed in an agricultural field. The pilot was uninjured, and no other passengers were on board.
“The pilot reported engine failure, but no other damage to the plane caused by the emergency landing,” stated the Sheriff’s Office on Dec. 10. “The Federal Aviation Administration will be taking over the investigation.”
