To the Editor:
May 4, 2004, might seem like a long time ago, but it isn’t for us. That day we found our son, Ricky, murdered. We miss him every second of our lives. We miss his wonderful smile and the love he readily showed for his two sons.
Only one monster was arrested but is now free to live his life, while our son is buried in a cemetery. Still, there are two other terrible scumbags who helped in killing Ricky who have never been arrested.
As Ricky’s mom, I can honestly say that I miss my son so much I can feel his absence in my heart every day. The loss we feel grows deeper even as the years pass us by. Closure is a word that should never be used to describe what survivors of murder victims want.
To me, closure would be only if Ricky could walk through our front door and give me the hugs he would give to me every time we would see each other. Justice is what families want for their loved ones. We want justice for Ricky!
We are asking once again for your help. Please call 831-674-5111 or 800-782-7463 if you have any information about our son’s murder. There is a $50,000 reward and you can remain anonymous.
Please, please help us bring all of Ricky’s murderers to justice.
