BURRITOS WITH POLICE

KING CITY — King City Police Department is planning Burritos with the Police on Wednesday, April 12, from 4 to 5:30 p.m. at El Taco Bravo Restaurant, 550 Canal St. #C. The community is invited to attend for conversation and free burritos, while asking questions and getting to know local officers.


JOB FAIR

SOLEDAD — A job fair with local employers, hosted by the Monterey County Workforce Development Board, is scheduled for Wednesday, April 12, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Soledad Community Center, 560 Walker Drive. Jobseekers can register at montereycountywdb.org/business-services/job-career-fairs/ to find out which employers will be in attendance.


TIRE RECYCLING

SALINAS VALLEY — Salinas Valley Solid Waste Authority will hold a tire recycling event starting April 14 through May 21, during which residents can dispose of their used tires for free at three facilities: Madison Lane Recycling and HHW Facility, 1140 Madison Lane, Salinas; Johnson Canyon Landfill, 31400 Johnson Canyon Road, Gonzales; and Jolon Road Transfer Station, 52654 Jolon Road, King City.
