GONZALES — Gonzales City Council kicked off the City of Gonzales’ 75th anniversary celebrations during its meeting on March 21.

The City was honored with resolutions from the offices of Sen. Anna Caballero, Assemblymember Robert Rivas and Monterey County Supervisor Chris Lopez, in addition to being gifted a handmade quilt by local artist Anna Mae Gazo that represents an aerial view of the town.

Various community events are planned throughout 2022 in honor of the City’s incorporation, the first of which is a Car Show and Food Exhibition on Saturday, April 2.

The free event takes place on Fourth Street from 1:30 to 5:30 p.m., with live music and family-friendly activities.
