TOY DRIVE
KING CITY — King City Rotary is collecting toys for the Operation Give Back Christmas toy drive. The club has collection boxes to distribute to businesses that would like to assist in the effort and be a collection point for donations. Those interested in a collection box for their business to help with the gathering of items for the project can contact the King City Chamber office at 831-385-3814 or the Edward Jones office at 422 Broadway. All donations will need to be dropped off at the central collection area at the Salinas Valley Fairgrounds by Dec. 15.
GIVING TUESDAY
MONTEREY COUNTY — ECHO Housing is once again celebrating GivingTuesday, joining millions around the world participating in the global generosity movement that inspires people to give back on Nov. 30. ECHO Housing, founded in 1965, has a decades-long history of helping to prevent homelessness and promote housing choice by providing information, referral, counseling, mediation, legal services and rent or deposit assistance. GONZALES — La Gloria Elementary School in Gonzales will be hosting a TK/Kindergarten Early Enrollment Parent Fair on Wednesday, Dec. 1, at 6 p.m. inside the school’s cafeteria, 220 Elko St. Parents and families can learn about the Dual Language Immersion Program, which is open to all Monterey County residents. Registration packets will be available, and masks are required.
