STUDENT VACCINATIONS

MONTEREY COUNTY — Monterey County will host the second virtual town hall meeting about Covid-19 vaccinations for students on Thursday, Oct. 28, so that families can get accurate information about these issues. The first meeting on Oct. 21 was presented in Spanish, and this meeting will be in English, featuring a panel of experts to respond to community questions and concerns. The town hall is from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. via Zoom. Participants can ask questions through the webinar or social media.


CALL TO ARTISTS

GREENFIELD — Greenfield Cultural Arts Center is hosting its annual Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) Festival on Saturday, Oct. 30, from 3 to 7 p.m., to celebrate Hispanic heritage honoring loved ones who have died. The free event will take place at the arts center, 215 El Camino Real, where altars and artwork will be on display inside with music, dance and art activities outside. YMCA TEENS

SALINAS — Central Coast YMCA is offering free membership for teens, ages 12 to 18 years old, with proof of vaccination. The membership offer runs through Oct. 31 at all the YMCA locations, including in Salinas, San Benito and Watsonville, as well as the Salinas Aquatic Center.
