GONZALES — Eight certified employees from the Gonzales Unified School District were granted tenure status Aug. 24 at the bi-monthly board meeting at the school library.

Those receiving tenure were: Christina Sierra-Jones, Lindsy Doan, Ashley Armenio, Nicholas Carlson, Micaela Martinez, Simon Perez, Lauren Ramirez and Stephanie Boerlin.

Each received a certificate of recognition, presented by GUSD Board President Jose Lopez and GUSD Superintendent Yvette Irving.
