VETERAN RESOURCES

MONTEREY COUNTY — Monterey County Military and Veterans Affairs Office will host a virtual veteran’s resource fair on Tuesday, Nov. 10, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 1 to 3 p.m. Veteran service organizations will virtually meet for people to see from the comfort and safety of their home or work. BUS SCHEDULE

MONTEREY COUNTY — Bus lines from Monterey-Salinas Transit will operate on a Saturday schedule on Nov. 11 due to the Veterans Day holiday. Two of the reduced lines in service serve South Monterey County: Line 23, running between Salinas and King City, and Line 84, running between King City and Paso Robles. MST phone lines and customer service windows at The Bus Stop Shop in Monterey, and Salinas Transit Center will remain open. The Marina Transit Exchange and MST’s administrative offices in Monterey will be closed, reopening Nov. 12. For more information, visit mst.org or call 1-888-MST-BUS1.


RODEO RECOGNITION

KING CITY — Salinas Valley Wine Country Pro Rodeo has earned first place for the WPRA Justin Best Footing Award for 2020 in the California Circuit. The award recognizes committees in each of the 12 rodeo circuits that have put forth extra effort to ensure their rodeo had the safest, most consistent ground throughout a rodeo. Such efforts ensure a safe and level playing field for barrel racing contestants and horses. The news was shared by Salinas Valley Fair Heritage Foundation.
