SOLEDAD — The first farmers market in South Monterey County this year will take place at the Soledad Historical Society on June 4 at 4 p.m. It is located at 137 Front St. in Soledad. Safety guidelines and number of merchants has not been shared yet, but staff commented they aim to run the season weekly until October.

ADVANCING ACTIVITY
GONZALES — June virtual activities are being planned by Gonzales Recreation Department as they wrap up their May activities. Morning inspiration videos for teens and adults are first on their roster. For youth ages 5 to 12, there will be new STEM activities, as well as mindfulness meditation videos, yoga videos and character videos.
TESTING TURNOUT
SALINAS VALLEY — South Monterey County residents are urged to get tested for active infections of Covid-19 at the local testing site, set up at the Greenfield Library. The Greenfield location is open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. and appointments can be made by calling 1-888-634-1123. There is no out-of-pocket cost for receiving service.
ANYBODY’S ANTIBODY
GREENFIELD — The trial run of a Covid-19 antibody testing site for first responders was conducted April 29 at the Greenfield Union School District office, in collaboration between the City of Greenfield, Ceres Labs and ARCpoint Labs. Mayor Lance Walker said a future antibody testing operation, open to members of the public, is being planned for Patriot Park, with a date to be determined.
