GONZALES — Gonzales High School hosted its annual Homecoming Night Rally last Wednesday, Oct. 16, at the Roger Fernando Gym, where competitive games took place that pit the senior, junior, sophomore and freshman classes as well as Spartan alumni against each other.

Games included charades, tug of war and a pie-eating contest. The school’s pep band provided music, and the Spartan cheer squad also performed.

The event concluded with the crowning of this year’s Homecoming King Joel Valdez and Queen Stephanie Flores.

At Friday’s Homecoming game, the Spartans varsity football team outscored the visiting San Lorenzo Valley High School Cougars, 42-27, to secure the win.
