GREENFIELD — Local resident Avelina Torres is once again spearheading the annual Greenfield Coat Drive, which seeks donations to benefit homeless individuals and others in need of warm clothing this winter.

This year’s collection project — Torres’ ninth year — is already underway, with donations being accepted until Dec. 18.

New and gently used coats of any size may be dropped off inside the containers at five locations:

  • Greenfield Community Center at Patriot Park, 1351 Oak Ave.;
  • Greenfield Civic Center/City Hall, 599 El Camino Real;
  • Greenfield Fire Department, corner of Oak Avenue and Fourth Street;
  • Greenfield Community Science Workshop, 45 El Camino Real; and
  • Higher Level on Fourth Street.

For questions about the coat drive, call Torres at 831-682-8918.
